This is slightly less than the price points we see for homes in Havana, Florida, another nearby town within easy commuting distance to Tallahassee.

 

On average, homes were on the market for 52 days before selling, with the high at 166 days and the low at 30 days. Homes ranged greatly in size; from 864 sq. ft. to 4,320 sq. ft. That being said, the majority of homes sold this quarter contained 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. In terms of lot size, most homes sold in Quincy were on under 1 acre, although there were a few homes that sold on 1+ acre lots.

What Quincy Florida Is Known For

One of Quincy’s “claim to fame” is the local residents’ involvement with the development of the Coca-Cola company, when it first started out. Quincy was once rumored to be the home of the most millionaires per capita, because so many residents has purchased stock from the company, before it grew into the Coca-Cola brand we all know today. Some local bankers, Pat Monroe and W.C. Bradley, urged widows and farmers to invest $40 each and many of them did.
