Piedmont-Live Oak Homes for Sale

Back in 1832, the Piedmont-Live Oak area was a cotton plantation, and as the years went on, fruit trees were planted, hunting grounds were cultivated and even a golf course was added to the property.

By 1948, the plantation closed and the grounds were sold to make residential homes, however, the natural beauty remains, making this a highly desired neighborhood for many. Large homes are set back from the oak-lined road, many with impressive entrance gates. Although passersby can still see the gorgeous exteriors with large front porches, 2-story, southern-style columns and perfectly manicured lawns.

Additionally, the central location of the Piedmont-Live Oak neighborhood is another selling point. In just minutes, residents can be in Midtown, Market Square or even downtown Tallahassee. For nature lovers, the Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park is just right around the corner. Grab a coffee at Lucky Goat on your morning commute, or a beer on the weekend at Growler Country.

Because the area is so sought-after, it can be a challenge to find a home in this neighborhood. So many buyers look in the nearby neighborhoods of Midtown and Betton Hills.
