Lake Tallavana, well known for the bass fishing, serenity(no gasoline motors on the lake) wildlife: deer, turkeys, otter, eagles, heron, red shouldered hawks, pileated woodpeckers, & bluebirds to name a few. Dry weather does not effect the lake level as it is fed by 2 creeks plus a large watershed area. However the lake is in a planned drawdown at this time to replace the gate valve structure and some other maintenance. It is expected to be back to the normal level no later than February 2021. The 25 MPH speed limit is enforced to protect the many walkers, cyclists and golf cart owners. It is a great place to live.
