Ann Cleare’s philosophy and advice are summed up in one final thought: “Don’t let something stop you because of what someone else thinks – I know I never did.” Growing up in a military family, Ann is not new to fostering relationships with anyone she encounters, and she has learned how to embrace the changes as they come. This embrace of change may be what sparked her interest in GREEN products. She has a passion for energy efficiency and senior housing.

Ann was born in Birmingham, Alabama and came to Tallahassee to attend Tallahassee Community College and then Florida State University. She started her family with a son and gained a daughter-in-law. Three grandchildren later, she is now a proud great-grandmother to 10!

Working in real estate, she has learned that “there is no glass ceiling. It is all mental and all you need to do is keep on pushing.” And that’s exactly what she has done. Ann has been a realtor for over 46 years.

She has been President of the Tallahassee Board of Realtors, District 8 Vice President of the Florida Association of Realtors, President on the City of Tallahassee’s Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and the Municipal Code Enforcement Board. She served as a gubernatorial appointee to the Affordable Housing Study Commission. She has served on committees such as Choose Tallahassee executive committee, Tallahassee Board of Realtors communication committee, Tallahassee Symphony Society and the Senior Center’s Advisory Council.

In her free time, Ann volunteers with non-profits such as the Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity & the Senior Center. She enjoys Lifelong Learning with FSU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute & the Tallahassee Senior Center. She is a Class 3 graduate of the Tallahassee Active Lifelong Leaders program.
